A wholly owned subsidiary of LSE100 conglomerate, Anglo American Corporation.
In 1985, Sigma Motor Corporation, still under leadership of Spencer Sterling, was merged with Ford South Africa to form the South African Motor Corporation (SAMCOR). Mr. Sterling was then appointed as Group Managing Director and Chairman.

Brian Dillon Ferris
Chief Executive Officer
Chairman Maserati (NA), Director, Maserati Worldwide (ret), Mario Tozzi-Condivi described Brian as ''a classic lateral thinker, breaking new ground, where others fear to tread''.
Before Brian was 25 he created the world's top market for Wynn's automotive petrochemicals; from zero to 92% market share in just 2 years, battling fierce competition from a splinter group of senior defectors. Then before he turned 30 he was the world's youngest ever factory distributor for both Lamborghini and Maserati. A pioneer and first active distributor in his region. Key member of a small executive team that nursed Lamborghini back from the brink of dissolution. Now a spectacular success story. Designed and introduced the world's first flat rate maintenance plan for new cars. The Maserati Lifetime Warranty. Within 5 years his company was ranked as the world's top distributor by market share. Despite a prickly relationship over product strategy, was chosen by Chairman De Tomaso to guide Maserati dealers through the challenging Biturbo era. Brian also enjoyed a very long and rewarding relationship with Ferrari. Voted top service specialist by Ferrari Club purists. Brian also has extensive experience and postgraduate education in business law and accounting.
In 1995 Brian discovered the Internet. He immediately recognized its potential as a global trading platform for commerce. He was determined to create a trading channel of unprecedented balance, flexibility and market transparency; to outperform opaque and inefficient business models. Undaunted by this solitary vision he poured all his energy and resources into learning everything he could to accomplish his mission. The stock market was the obvious place to start, so he then invested 5 years trading complex financial derivatives over the Internet; and learned, under a baptism of fire, how to manage supply and demand. Brian has often commented that if it were not for this rather hazardous experience he may never have found the inspiration for his patented MACDAX technology. Now the power behind DealMaker.
For recreation Brian enjoys managing his young son's motor racing career. As a young man he was also quite well known in auto racing circles, as a national championship team principal, (rookie) driver of the year, and front-runner in the top level SA Formula 2 Drivers Championship, along with Ian Scheckter, team mate Wayne Taylor and other world class competitors.
